Port of Townsville simplifies with CMS
Following a review of options, Port of Townsville has implemented TechnologyOne’s Enterprise Content Management solution (ECM), giving it a single enterprise solution that is available anywhere, at any time and from any device.
“There were a number of key features that we were looking for in a new system,” said Esther Slocombe, Port of Townsville’s secretary and legal counsel.
“It was important for employees to find, share and access information, and also to achieve compliance to appropriate legislative requirements for government-owned corporations.”
The ECM solution alleviates issues of duplication, streamlining information into a centralised, easy-to-use search capability.
“We were able to implement and license TechnologyOne’s ECM very cost effectively and are now benefiting from increased mobility and functionality,” said Slocombe, adding that the enterprise has ‘quite a number’ of the workers in the field using iPads.
Queensland’s third-largest seaport, Port of Townsville has a 140-year history and is a major Department of Defence site.
