NinjaTech to create next-gen digital assistant

AI experts previously employed at Google, Meta and AWS have formed NinjaTech AI, a new generative AI company with plans to build the first true next-generation personal digital assistant.

NinjaTech was co-founded by Babak Pahlavan, founder of personal assistant company Clever Sense, which was acquired by Google in 2011, as well as Sam Naghshineh, who was a prominent AI leader at Meta for five years and the founder of AI-powered video intelligence company Decasense.

The company plans to use proprietary language models to bring to life AI agents such as TaskGPT and infuse them with capabilities aimed at reducing the workload burden on working professionals.

According to the company, managers spend more than 25 hours a week on recurring administrative tasks that can be made easier with intelligent AI tools.

NinjaTech has decided to move from ChatGPT to TaskGPT due to the latter’s focus on getting admin tasks done for users. The planned tool will be able to schedule managers’ work meetings, order their lunch and generate content through email, voice, Slack chat and text, 24/7.

NinjaTech has closed a $5 million seed round from investors including SRI International to help make its plans a reality.

“Our next-generation conversational AI platform leverages our own custom large language models, along with a series of proprietary decision engines, enabling the creation of the world’s first scalable and affordable AI-powered executive assistant," Pahlavan said.

“With SRI’s help, we believe that for the first time it’s now possible to start interacting with computers conversationally, just like how we interact with people, and ask for their assistance to get things done. NinjaTech’s mission in democratising access to EAs is to be the last productivity app ever needed at work.”

NinjaTech’s product is currently in alpha stage and is scheduled to launch into a beta phase later this year.
