A/NZ companies win Oracle cloud innovation awards
Australia’s National Pharmacies and New Zealand’s Suitebox Solutions were among the 31 winners of the 2016 Oracle Cloud Platform Innovation Awards.
The awards recognised Oracle customers finding innovative uses for the company’s platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offerings.
Winners were chosen from around the world, including India, the UK, Dubai and the US, and ranged from SMEs to very large enterprises.
Judging criteria include the uniqueness of the project, its benefits relative to the organisation’s size, the complexity and magnitude of the project and the originality of the architecture.
“These awards recognise customers that are using Oracle’s PaaS and IaaS together in unique and innovative ways to transform their businesses,” Amit Zavery, Oracle senior vice president of cloud platform and integration products, said.
“Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen our customers make a wholesale move in using the cloud for just simple dev/test scenarios to running serious, enterprise workloads in the cloud.”
SuiteBox Solutions provides customer interaction tools including video and telephony, document collaboration, selective recording and real-time signing. The company has offices in New Zealand, Australia, the US and the UK.
National Pharmacies operates a network of over 51 pharmacies in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, as well as 21 optical stores in South Australia and Victoria.
