Genesis Energy goes to the cloud with Spark
A large-scale migration of IT infrastructure to Spark’s Revera Cloud platform has been carried out by Genesis Energy.
Genesis is now running its business from the cloud, with the migration taking place as part of a partnership with Spark.
Spark is delivering the power company a tailored package of IT managed services, business mobile and cloud services under a five-year deal.
“Making the move to cloud IT is a logical step for us,” said Jennifer Cherrington-Mowat, EGM technology and digital for Genesis Energy.
“We’re now in a great position to drive further efficiencies and deliver innovative energy solutions for New Zealanders in a fast-changing energy market.”
Both companies are complementing each other’s business by offering additional value-added products and services directly to their respective customers.
“We are both businesses invested in powering New Zealand’s future. Like Genesis Energy, Spark’s driving force is to deliver truly useful technologies that enable businesses and consumers to do their best work and be their best selves,” said Vanessa Sorenson, Spark’s GM enterprise commercial and Trans-Tasman.
