Macquarie Data Centres signs IX deal with Console Connect
Macquarie Data Centres has signed an agreement with software interconnection provider Console Connect to make the Console Connect network-as-a-service (NaaS) platform available in Macquarie’s Sydney data centre campus.
Console Connect has established a point of presence (PoP) at the Macquarie Park campus, its fourth in Sydney, and has now made the platform available to Macquarie Data Centres customers using the facility.
Customers will be able to use the service to privately connect to major clouds, software-as-a-service platforms and a network of over 900 data centres across the world. This includes dedicated connections to AWS, Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Salesforce, Microsoft Azure and IBM Cloud.
Console Connect connectivity services available at the campus also include business-grade internet services, the CloudRouter multicloud connectivity solution designed to dynamically route traffic between cloud platforms, and a remote peering service providing access to a number of internet exchanges.
Macquarie Data Centres operates a number of sovereign data centres across Sydney and Canberra. The Macquarie Park campus houses the Intellicentre 2 and Intellicentre 3 data centres, with a combined 50 MW of capacity available at the campus.
