SAP Cloud Platform launching through AWS Sydney
SAP has announced it will make its SAP Cloud Platform available over the AWS Sydney Region from next month.
SAP customers in Australia and New Zealand will be able to take advantage of the platform to accelerate their digital transformation projects.
The platform aims to provide local customers with access to solutions including the SAP HANA service, which provides instances of SAP HANA on demand, as well as the SAP Leonardo digital transformation platform, which combines technologies including AI, analytics, IoT and machine learning to help companies transform their business.
New solutions will include SAP Conversational AI, a solution to help companies develop intelligent chatbots, and the SAP Cloud Platform Blockchain service for enterprises involved in blockchain projects.
AWS entered a global partnership with SAP in 2011, and this agreement marks the latest development in that partnership.
“SAP is committed to giving our customers multicloud choice and flexibility so that they can achieve their innovation goals,” SAP Cloud Platform President Björn Goerke said.
“The availability of SAP Cloud Platform in the AWS Sydney data centre extends our unique offer of multicloud flexibility and openness.”
SAP announced the general availability of the SAP Cloud Platform across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud during its SAPPHIRE NOW 2018 conference last month.
