UniSuper adopts HashiCorp's Terraform Cloud
UniSuper has contracted HashiCorp’s Terraform Cloud solution to help standardise its infrastructure deployment and speed up app and services delivery.
Under the agreement, UniSuper is using Terraform Cloud to extend its cloud functionality while reducing infrastructure deployment time.
To help deliver the deployment, UniSuper Projects and Strategic Engineering Manager Benny Goh formed a cloud platform team to align cloud modernisation and cost-saving activities, while providing internal developers with a more automated and standardised approach to infrastructure.
The team focused on creating a self-service model for cloud resources during the implementation stage. The team would also train on Terraform through real-world projects with the goal being to “encourage developers to become champions in automation”, Goh said.
He said the company’s collaboration with HashiCorp has been a positive experience. “Our relationship with HashiCorp is not just a business transaction. The team has always been attentive to our needs and helps us determine how we can deliver our projects.
“HashiCorp helps reduce turnover because employees feel as though they are progressing alongside UniSuper’s cloud journey as they tackle exciting problems.”
