Samsung Electronics Australia has extended its virtual reality range with the launch of the Gear VR. The headset is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge smartphones, using each device’s AMOLED display to provide the colour, clarity and performance needed for a virtual reality experience.
The product is lighter than its predecessor, the Gear VR Innovator Edition, and includes foam cushioning for improved comfort. The device’s touchpad provides good control while experiencing the wide selection of film, games, 360° video and experiential content available to purchase from Oculus. The Samsung Internet for Gear VRbeta app is also available, which allows users to browse the web in an immersive 360° experience as well as watch 360° videos available through websites like YouTube.
