Tata Communications awarded for UC portfolio
Tata Communications has won the 2016 Frost & Sullivan Managed UC Services Provider of the Year award.
The company has been recognised for its managed unified communications (UC) portfolio of services in the APAC market.
Tata Communications is a strong contributor to the APAC market that caters to the needs of the unified communication and collaboration market, which is growing at a CAGR of 5.2%. It is expected to present a US$9.1 billion opportunity by 2020.
In addition, the rise in the mobile workforce globally is expected to hit 1.2 billion by the end of this year, meaning that there is demand from organisations to deploy a seamless communication and collaboration solution.
“Amongst all the offerings under the Tata Communications UC umbrella, Jamvee has received a special recognition within the APAC business circle,” said Zi Ning Chong, research analyst in digital transformation, Asia-Pacific at Frost & Sullivan.
“Businesses based in this market use this cloud-based multiplatform conferencing tool very effectively to video communicate with peers and their customers across the globe. Tata Communications has definitely implemented a comprehensive growth strategy in Asia–Pacific.”
Tata Communications’ new and existing partnerships with local data centres have also enabled the organisation to grow its portfolio and mitigate data security and sovereignty concerns simultaneously.
“The company has established several important partnerships and strategic investments to consolidate its market position in Asia–Pacific,” said Chong.
Some of the strategic partnerships forged by the company in Asia–Pacific include Singapore Technologies Telemedia, Pacific Link Telecom and NEXTDC.
