Digium Inc has released Switchvox 6, the latest version of its business phone system available for on-premises deployments, which is designed to deliver more efficient call handling, improved performance and an enhanced user experience.
The system is built on Asterisk 13, an advanced open source communications platform. With VMware’s disaster recovery capabilities and scalability, the system provides small and medium-sized businesses with an enterprise-class unified communications experience.
After undergoing detailed tests, it has achieved VMware Ready status and is supported on VMware vSphere. The benefits of VMware include its high scalability, as well as its disaster recovery tools. Administrators can adjust system resources on the fly allowing the system to grow with the organisation. Companies can also use snapshots to ensure more efficient backup and restoring, as well as deploy enterprise-level failover by combining the product with VMware vSphere High Availability (HA).
As part of the latest release, the redesigned Switchboard provides a real-time view into call detail and analytics that help businesses make better decisions and improve their overall customer experience.
Digium’s Switchvox 6 is generally available for Switchvox Cloud and Switchvox on-premises deployments.
