Neat transforms office spaces for greater collaboration

The role of the office has transformed beyond a ‘workspace’ or merely fitting out a room with technology. Today’s modern businesses are looking to create multi-purpose spaces for their employees that support collaboration, creativity and socialising: environments that are both inviting and inspiring. This includes elements like natural light, the odd plant or two, and thoughtful design that enhances employee wellbeing and productivity. In fact, recent Gartner research demonstrates that the relationship between people and their working environment has become a crucial factor in how people perform, relate and connect with others.

Meet, create and collaborate with Neat technology

Neat, the pioneering Norwegian video technology company, addresses the complexities of employee experience with AI-powered video devices that allow employees to meet, create and collaborate – whenever, wherever and however they want. Neat provides a complete portfolio of devices to address any space in today’s modern office, including Neat Board 50, Neat Bar 2, and its new companion device Neat Center.

Neat Board 50 is the digital canvas of Neat’s portfolio, designed to simulate whiteboarding sessions for both in-office and remote teams. Board 50 has recently won a Red Dot Design Award for its minimalist appearance, which “skilfully conceals complex technology and leaves an uncomplicated impression.” The portable device can be wheeled from space to space, always within reach for employees to interact and collaborate. Neat Board 50 transforms any bland meeting room into a creative workshop, swiftly adapting to any team’s need to meet or express their ideas.

Neat solutions are designed to work seamlessly with each other and with the user, especially Neat Center, the companion device. Neat Center brings remote attendees closer to where the conversation happens, in any room that has a main Neat device. The product recently also won a Red Dot Design Award for its sophisticated functionality, which “blends seamlessly into any interior.” The technology fits into any space, with a freestanding option to be placed on a table or tripod, or a ceiling mount option to keep surfaces clear.

A unique combination of AI and ML for a powerful meeting

All solutions feature Neat Intelligence, patented machine-learning software that for the user almost feels ‘like magic’ in the way that it keeps each meeting participant in frame and easily heard no matter where they are in the meeting space.

As participants communicate through speech, gestures, observation and timing, Neat Symmetry powers interaction by presenting everyone in the meeting room up close, no matter if they are sitting, standing or moving around.

Office spaces are also full of distractions, with co-workers walking into the wrong meeting room and background chatter always present. Neat offers a ‘Boundary’ that can be set in meeting rooms, removing the worry of interruptions by setting a virtual width and depth to prevent the camera from detecting and auto-framing people who aren’t part of your meeting.

Neat also suppresses irritating noises that distract in virtual meetings, including fans and keyboard clacking — and with ‘dereverberation’, Neat leverages neural networks to enable meeting participants to hear people talking without the sound reflections in the room, and eliminates pesky double talk issues.

Atlassian leverages Neat to help unleash the potential of its teams

Australian tech firm, Atlassian, deployed Neat devices throughout their offices in response to their ‘Team Anywhere’ approach, which allows employees the freedom to choose where they work. Neat enabled Atlassian to simply and easily roll out video-enabled spaces to their global offices, simplifying maintenance and providing the flexibility their hybrid teams needed.

“Using Neat has been an easy choice for us. Having a powerful solution like Neat Board that can be easily set up then moved around as needed to stand up a new space quite quickly gives us the flexibility we need to support our hybrid teams,” said Harvey Jones, Workplace Collaboration Lead for Atlassian.

Atlassian’s offices were redesigned to provide more flexible meeting spaces that can support large team gatherings and smaller focus sessions. Leveraging Neat Board for open or flexible spaces, Neat Bar Pro for larger meeting spaces, and Neat Frame in some focus rooms, Atlassian has made technology a key part of making its office space work for both in-office and remote employees.

Neat’s powerful solutions can be easily installed into any office space. Register for a demo here.
