Interworld Electronics E-1W Environment Monitoring System

Interworld Electronics has released the E-1W Environment Monitoring System with a 1-wire interface from Network Technologies Incorporated (NTI).

The E-1W utilises sensors to monitor critical server room environmental and security conditions. When an environmental sensor goes out of range of a configurable threshold or a security sensor is triggered, system administrators will be notified via email, web page notification, network management (SNMP) software or directly via an SMS message.

The E-1W system supports 24 daisy chained 1-wire RJ11 sensors in any combination of temperature, humidity, dew point, thermocouple or digital inputs. In addition, two digital screw terminal inputs allow security contact closure sensors or liquid detection sensors to be directly connected to the E-1W. The E-1W can monitor (ping) up to four IP addresses to determine if critical server or network equipment is up and running. Up to four IP network video cameras can be connected for live view of any facility. A USB port allows the system to send alerts via USB 4G modem or download log data to a USB drive.

E-1W is powered via 240 VAC power adapter. Dual redundant power input allows connection to separate power sources. Optional Power-Over-Ethernet is also available.
