Dell 13th generation PowerEdge rack and tower servers

Dell has added four entry-level rack and tower servers to its 13th generation PowerEdge portfolio, allowing small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to prepare for future growth, adapt to changing application demands and attain greater operational efficiency.

The range includes the PowerEdge R330 and R230 rack servers as well as the PowerEdge T330 and T130 tower servers. The R330 is suitable for small businesses or remote offices of large institutions who need enhanced hardware availability and serviceability. It provides up to 56% more internal storage capacity than the previous generation server. The R230 by comparison is suitable for distributed applications in SMBs and comes with 100% more memory capacity, three times the maximum internal storage capacity and two times the I/O expansion compared to the previous generation server.

The T330 is an expandable, rackable tower server for SMBs and remote offices of large corporations that need greater internal storage, and offers up to four DDR4 memory slots and up to eight 3.5″ hard drives. The T130 by comparison now features Dell’s OpenManage systems management portfolio, which includes intuitive tools that reduce deployment time by up to 40%, and provides two times the memory capacity compared to the previous generation server.

The range also includes features such as the Intel Xeon E3-1200 v5 product family, PCIe Gen 3.0 slots which boost I/O performance and Dell’s PERC9 RAID controller, which achieves higher IOPS performance.
