Fujitsu has announced an update to its PRIMERGY dual-socket server line-up from tower servers to nodes for high-performance computing clusters. In line with the update, the company has also released the PRIMERGY RX2510 M2 designed for service providers and hosters.
The dual-socket servers now come with Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 product family processors with DDR4 memory technology with up to 2400 MHz frequency. This enables up to 20% more system performance in comparison to the previous generation. Another feature includes a Cool-safe Advanced Thermal Design with the threshold for safe operation raised from 40 to 45°C for most available rack, tower and scale-out systems. The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 option means IT infrastructure is further protected against attack, since the system is able to verify communication and manage encryption of data.
The updates affect the following PRIMERGY models: RX2530 M2, -40 M2, -60 M2; TX2560 M2; BX2560 M2, -80 M2; and CX2550 M2 and -70 M2.
