Thursday, 10 February, 2011

The Yamasaki VM007 FibreSpy video scope, for safe inspection of live optical networks, allows the user to get a clear view of an end face or ports in an optical fibre network through the use of a video camera. The images are displayed on a backlit LCD screen and can be connected to a computer for closer observation and saving screen shots.

One of the biggest causes of signal loss in optical networks is due to dirty connections. The tester is the safest method for inspecting live optical fibres or laser ports as it ensures that dirty connectors and ports are identified and cleaned. It is a handheld portable device, suitable for use out in the field for any signal loss.

The tester features: magnification: 200x and 400x; 3.5” backlit LCD screen; operating temperature: -10 ~ +50°C; storage temperature: -20 ~ +10°C; power supply: 12 V rechargeable battery or DC 12 V adapter; >6 h continuous use battery life; dimensions: 205 (L) x 94 (W) x 25 mm (H).
