Education software suite goes live in schools

Civica’s Education Management System (EMS) has been rolled out to 300 schools and preschools across South Australia.

Previously, public schools used a diverse range of platforms for record keeping and communications. These will now be replaced by EMS, a digital, cloud-based platform designed to streamline and automate many administration and management functions.

The platform was initially rolled out to preschools and primary schools, but has since been expanded to include several high schools.

The cloud software, built for schools and academies, harnesses cloud technology to drive improvements across finance, HR, asset management and compliance.

This is a major step forward in enabling an improved digital experience for site leaders, administrators, teachers, students, parents and carers.

EMS will help schools to easily manage everything from student enrolments and financial management to parent engagement and excursion permissions.

Additional features will be added to EMS over time to meet the needs of all schools and preschools.

“The Department for Education in South Australia is incredibly proud to have 300 sites now benefiting from Civica’s Education Management System,” said Sean Cummins, Director, ICT Projects, Department for Education.

“The collaboration, innovation and resilience of our partnership with Civica continues to deliver digital services which empower schools and preschools to deliver world-leading education.”
