Change at helm for Technology Decisions

After playing a key role in the successful launch of multichannel IT media brand Technology Decisions, Anthony Caruana will hand the editor role to colleague and former Voice+Data editor Andrew Collins, starting next month. Caruana will continue with Technology Decisions as feature writer and will also continue to work with the publisher, Westwick-Farrow Media, on its growing custom media operation.

Caruana’s initial six-month contract was focused around launching and establishing the magazine component of the new brand and was extended recently to nine months. Collins has been working alongside Caruana as online and newsletter editor so the transition will be smooth. A change in Caruana’s permanent IT management role and an increase in other media commitments meant the new arrangement better suits the needs of both parties.

Publisher Geoff Hird explained: “Anthony has done everything we had hoped for with the launch and we look forward to his continued involvement as feature writer, while Andrew has already proven himself as an IT editor and writer and knows our business intimately.” Andrew can be contacted at td@westwick-farrow.com.au.
