Dept of Employment deploys new job portal

The federal Department of Employment has developed a new portal to help providers of the jobactive service better connect job seekers with employers.

The new portal embeds Qlik’s visual analytics offering Qlik Sense to help provide insights to jobactive providers, and allow them to monitor performance targets and deliverables.

The portal will be used to analyse data such as the performance of employment contracts. With the new system, the department aims to reduce administration and deployment costs while improving the speed of data delivery and reporting between the department and jobactive providers.

A network of jobactive providers operates across 1700 locations in Australia providing employment services to employers and job seekers.

“Data has the power to be transformative, but only if it is used effectively,” Qlik VP and Regional Director for ANZ Sharryn Napier said.

“With Qlik, businesses can see the whole story that lives within their data and as a result drive insight across the organisation, enabling everyone to do their jobs smarter and faster than ever. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Australian Government Department of Employment to help them harness the full power of our visual analytics platform.”
