Melbourne IT rebranded as Arq Group
Melbourne IT will rebrand itself as Arq Group to unify its services under one banner.
The company will continue to solve complex challenges for large and small businesses across Australia as they look to traverse and thrive in a post-digital world.
Founded in 1996, Melbourne IT has evolved from a domain and hosting service to a full-scale consultancy covering digital marketing, web design, security, mobile, analytics and cloud-based solutions. A natural progression for the company, the rebrand will see overlapping skills from individual businesses merge into a complete, strategic digital partner.
Hundreds of internal and external stakeholders have been involved in the brand’s development to ensure it encapsulates the whole business. The Arq Group moniker was chosen to evoke the curve that connects the consultancy to its clients and their customers. The rebrand will accompany an expansion plan to create 270 new jobs this year.
“Arq Group has prospered where many have failed because we’ve always adapted and innovated, never losing sight of our customers’ needs,” said Martin Mercer, CEO of Arq Group.
“The Melbourne IT of today is almost unrecognisable from who we were four years ago. Today’s market is changing rapidly, and while the old brand has served us well, it no longer represents the business we have become.”
Arq Group builds and manages innovative channels to market for many of the country’s largest enterprises, while simultaneously supporting half a million small businesses throughout their online journey.
The rebranding is accompanied by an internal push that encourages Arq Group to go beyond the technical and unleash new ways to engage people with technology.
“We were there at the start of the internet in Australia and have remained at the forefront as technology has become more pervasive. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter that sees us formally mark our transition into the future — to become Australia’s leading digital partner. The new brand brings to life the innovative spirit we’ve had since day one, reflecting the close relationships we intend to forge and the ambition we have to do things differently,” said Mercer.
“Our new identity represents the sense of partnership, collaboration and limitless possibilities we aspire to create between our customers and their market. Under the Arq Group brand we will develop previously unimaginable solutions for our clients, so they can create unforgettable experiences for their customers, and ultimately lead Australian businesses, whether big or small, into an exciting age.”
At the upcoming AGM on 28 May, approval is being sought from the shareholders of Melbourne IT to change the formal company name from Melbourne IT Group to Arq Group.
