Australian employees embrace AI IT support
Australian employees are optimistic about the impact of AI on their ability to perform their jobs, according to new research from Lenovo.
The research found that 84% of Australian employees believe AI has a positive role to play in helping them stay productive, and 90% believe they would be more productive if their IT issues were resolved quickly and efficiently.
But Australian workers also see the benefits of human interaction, with 75% preferring a blend of AI and human interaction from IT support. And while 22% prefer more AI support, 23% prefer more human support.
The survey also found that 70% of Australian employees report that poor IT support has decreased their motivation at work.
Lenovo VP and GM for Global Support Services John Stamer said the findings indicate that Australian employees are demanding improved IT support.
“As workplaces have evolved with the rise of hybrid work, IT support for employees clearly hasn’t kept pace. With the growing adoption of cloud services, digital intelligence and the metaverse, organisations’ IT environments are only going to become more complex, so effective IT support will become even more essential to employee experience and morale,” he said.
Lenovo released the findings of the study to coincide with the launch of Premier Support Plus, its managed IT support solution which takes advantage of AI-driven predictive analytics to proactively detect and mitigate potential IT problems.
The solution also extends battery support for up to three years, while the Keep Your Drive service retains users’ hard drives and provides full customer ownership of their data.
