Former UXC CIO/CTO joins KPMG Australia
Professional services company KPMG Australia has appointed former UXC CIO and CTO Craig Wishart as its new CIO.
Wishart has held a number of executive IT roles at Australian companies. Besides UXC, he has also previously held roles including CIO at Service Stream and executive IT roles at ANZ Bank, Telstra, Rio Tinto and Sensis. He is also an advisory board member at the CIO Executive Council A/NZ.
Wishart replaces Anthony Stevens, who has been selected to lead KPMG Australia’s digital services team in the newly created role of chief digital officer.
“Under Anthony’s leadership, the firm has implemented an unprecedented amount of change and transformed what and how ITS supports the firm,” KPMG Australia CFO Damian Templeton commented.
“This transformation will now be accelerated under Craig, with technology key to supporting and managing our firm’s growth and development... Craig is very well placed to lead our IT Services team, with his extensive experience and cross-industry exposure.”
Wishart commented that organisations are being challenged more than ever to transform and identify new ways of working.
“The opportunity to contribute to the success and future of KPMG is exciting. I genuinely look forward to working with the KPMG leadership and technology teams to maximise and optimise the investments we make within our business,” he said.
