Free training to accelerate cybersecurity skills
Tesserent has launched its first Tesserent Academy ‘100 Day Challenge’ — a fully funded program designed to accelerate cybersecurity training for students and graduates.
The academy is investing over $250,000 to develop cybersecurity talent from diverse backgrounds, age cohorts and genders to accelerate the future pipeline of talent our nation desperately needs. The recent acquisition of ALC Training ensures a high calibre of accredited training through a provider with a 25+ year history.
The three-day intensive training course will provide a foundation in cybersecurity skills. It includes two days of practical hands-on learning with Tesserent’s highly experienced consultants who are among the best in the business.
“We are excited to invest and fully sponsor to launch this important initiative to help address the skills shortage in the industry and fast-track a program for people to gain much needed skills and training in cybersecurity,” said Kurt Hansen, CEO of Tesserent.
“We encourage people of all age groups to apply so they can upskill in a new area and enjoy all the opportunities a career in the Australian burgeoning cybersecurity industry can provide.”
The 100 Day Challenge will cover key areas of cybersecurity concepts, risk management and assurance, security architecture, physical security, network security, endpoint security and incident response. On completion, students that successfully pass an exam will be provided with a certificate they can share with future employers. The total program comprises three days of training plus the exam and two days of practical learning and networking opportunities with Tesserent consultants.
To be eligible for the 100 Day Challenge, applicants must currently be a student or have graduated in 2022, be over the age of 18 and submit their application by 19 May 2023. The sessions will be run around the country commencing in June/July 2023.
