Stripe expands with fitness software collaboration
Financial infrastructure platform Stripe has announced a collaboration with end-to-end fitness studio platform Hapana.
Hapana will offer Stripe solutions to gyms and fitness brands globally, enabling customers to quickly and easily accept a wide range of payment methods including credit cards, terminals and direct debits.
“Partnering with Stripe accelerates our ambition to meet global customer needs in the dynamic world of boutique fitness,” said Jarron Aizen, CEO of Hapana.
“For multisite businesses spanning hundreds of locations across diverse modalities like yoga, pilates, spin and functional training, tailored solutions like advanced reporting, royalty splits and a global footprint are paramount. As we swiftly expand into new geographies, our ability to provide a seamless user experience on behalf of our customers, powered by an industry-leading payments suite, positions us further as the leader in management software for the fitness industry,” Aizen said.
The integration also enables Hapana to gain more visibility over payment transactions withheld with Stripe Radar, enhancing security and fraud protection for Hapana and their customers. Stripe Radar detects and blocks fraud using machine learning that trains on data across millions of global companies.
Scaling with Stripe Connect
In support of its global expansion plans, Hapana will be leveraging Stripe Connect to embed financial infrastructure into the company’s software and offer payments globally via a single unified integration. For franchisor–franchisee relationships, Stripe Connect will automate and facilitate Hapana’s complex fund flow and royalty requirements, enabling accountability for both franchisees and franchisors in a transaction.
“Anyone with a studio membership will appreciate the flexible payment schemes that fitness businesses provide,” said Mike Clayville, Chief Customer Officer at Stripe.
“To ensure the same payment experience is applied across studios and clubs globally is not a light lift for many fitness businesses. We’re thrilled to work with Hapana to support their customers in the US, Australia, and across many more regions globally to customise payments that are fast, convenient and consistent,” he said.
