UiPath announces new developer features

Enterprise automation software company UiPath has introduced a range of new features to its platform designed to help developers more rapidly build, test and implement automations. The new features were unveiled at the UiPath DevCon 2024, the company’s developer conference held this year in Bengaluru, India.

They include the launch into public preview of UiPath Autopilot for Test Suite, which provides AI capabilities including AI-powered quality checks, as well as test design, automation and insights, to improve the productivity of testers throughout the entire testing lifecycle.

New features also include an expanded collection of generative AI connectors to allow developers to access curated AI activities to implement into use cases such as generating text content and summarisation for sales, marketing, social media and customer support. Meanwhile, new UiPath automation marketplace and solution accelerators can help developers jumpstart the development process by searching through building blocks and templates on the UiPath Automation Marketplace.

UiPath has also announced the upcoming availability of new data centres globally, including in India, to help public and private sector customers and partners strategically position their infrastructure, applications and data.

UiPath Co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer Daniel Dines said the new capabilities will bring the platform into the generative AI era.

“With the UiPath developer community in excess of 2 million, and developers and learners across 43 countries, the innovations we provide this community are absolutely essential in the AI and automation era,” he said. “To build modern automations, it is not only about driving the UI. Developers also need API integrations, data and AI solutions. We are making it possible for developers to access all these constructs in one integrated platform.”
