Video: Genevieve Bell on our tech future
In this lecture arranged by Australia’s Digital Transformation Agency, Professor Genevieve Bell covers many tech topics, from working as an Australian in Silicon Valley to the robotic vacuum apocalypse.
Professor Bell is the Director of the 3A Institute, Florence Violet McKenzie Chair, and a Distinguished Professor at the Australian National University (ANU) as well as a Vice President and Senior Fellow at Intel Corporation.
“This is not a set of predictions. This is a conversation. These are not the only answers,” she says during the presentation.
“These are some of the things that are top of my mind, and I really want to be clear this is coming at it from an intersection of someone who spent time both in the Valley thinking about technology but as an anthropologist who spends all of her time thinking about human beings.”
