VoNEX to partner with snom on SaaS VoIP services in US
Australian hosted VoIP provider VoNEX will collaborate with VoIP phone manufacturer snom on a new software-as-a-service VoIP solution that will see the Australian company’s services delivered to North American customers.
Under the partnership, snom will offer VoNEX hosted services to businesses throughout USA using the VoNEX platform. Customers can decide if they want to operate a PBX on their own or purchase it as a service from snom.
Brydie McKee, CEO of VoNEX, said: “Hosted services are already very popular for data, and voice services are now also moving into the cloud.”
According to VoNEX, “Offering the snom software as a service is the next logical step and further simplifies the rollout of VoIP services for the reseller channel.”
VoNEX will be providing network infrastructure and call management systems for snom’s standalone initiatives.
“The quality of bandwidth has grown over recent years to a degree that operating expensive dedicated CPE servers is not necessary in many places,” said Mike Storella, Chief Operating Officer at snom.
According to McKee, the partnership will open the North American market up to VoNEX.
“The reseller market is huge in the USA and this partnership gives us another massive channel to sell our hosted PBX service through snom, a major handset vendor,” she said.
