Vodafone's Bill Morrow is the next NBN Co CEO
Bill Morrow, the CEO of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA), will reportedly be announced as the new CEO of NBN Co today.
That’s according to an AFR report published late last night, which also said the appointment will see Morrow step down from his position at Vodafone.
The appointment will also mean that Ziggy Switkowksi, who has had the job of executive chairman at NBN Co since early October, will become a non-executive director, the AFR reported.
With the news only just being revealed, further details are scant. More will likely become apparent throughout the day, as the government is expected to release its strategic review of the NBN today.
According to CommsDay, Morrow was selected for the role of NBN Co CEO “at least partly because of his strength as a turnaround specialist”.
Prior to his position at VHA Morrow served as CEO of Clearwire and also as CEO of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
