Hirschmann WLAN Access Point BAT54-Rail Single

The Hirschmann WLAN Access Point BAT54-Rail Single is designed for mounting on a top-hat rail and can be used both as access point and access client.

Unlike the BAT54-Rail, the access point has only one WLAN interface, making it a cost-effective alternative for applications that do not require a second interface. Like the BAT54-RAIL, it offers the full range of functions supported by the HiLCOS operating system.

The access point offers transmission rates of up to 108 Mbps in either the 5 or 2.4 GHz waveband. Fast roaming facilitates uninterrupted connections, even while changing from one radio cell to another. Network management can be carried out using browser-based, Telnet or Windows software that supports rogue AP detection, and all standard encryption methods as well as authentication compliant with IEEE 802.1x are also available.

The series is equipped with integrated firewalls and IP routers, enabling network segments to be isolated and safeguarded. An RJ45 LAN port (10/100Base TX) is available for connection to terrestrial networks.

The device comes in a robust aluminium housing and is designed to operate within a temperature range of -30 to +50°C. Its shock resistance, vibration resistance and electromagnetic compatibility make it suitable for vehicle installation.

Operating security is provided by the redundant power supply, with two 24 VDC and one 48 VDC connection supporting Power over Ethernet compliant with IEEE 802.3af.

It is suitable for industrial use, has a stable broadband wireless connection and the antenna program offers a total of 13 radial and sector antennas as well as leakage waveguides.
