Serial console management switch with event monitoring

Monday, 02 March, 2009

TSM Series console servers provide secure remote access to RS232 console ports on servers, routers, switches, firewalls and other network elements.

The TSM's robust assortment of security includes: secure shell (SSHv2) encryption, address-specific IP security masks and multi-level passwords to prevent unauthorised access. It also allows remote authentication with support for Radius, Kerkeros, LDAP and TACACS capability.

It can monitor network equipment, constantly watching for significant changes. Network managers are notified via SNMP trap or email when high temperature readings, full port buffers, invalid access attempts and other events are detected.

Models are available with 8, 24 or 40 RJ45 serial ports. Each port can be configured to set the port password, data rates, flow control and other operating parameters.

The full matrix capability of the TSM allows the user to directly connect to any port or easily connect any two ports on the switch, even when the ports are using different communications settings.
