Cloudera certified for compliance with PCI DSS 4.0
Data, analytics and AI company Cloudera has been certified for Level 1 compliance with the Payment Card Industry’s (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) for Service Providers.
The new certification confirms that Cloudera’s platform-as-a-service and private cloud solutions are both compliant with the PCI DSS v4.0 standard, the newest major version of the framework.
PCI DSS standards define the security controls and processes for entities involved in the payment ecosystem, as well as the requirements for developers and solution providers to follow while building and securely managing payment devices, software and other solutions.
Achieving the certification demonstrates Cloudera’s commitment to cybersecurity and compliance as it seeks to help financial institutions unlock business value from AI, according to Cloudera CISO Natalia Belaya.
“Cloudera’s achievement of this certification is a testament to our commitment to our financial sector customers,” she said. “We strive to provide and maintain a secure and trusted platform to support our customers with evolving data initiatives and empower them to unlock greater value from AI.”
Cloudera is a vendor to eight of the top 10 global banks. The company helps financial institutions navigate the risks associated with embracing the power of AI and generative AI by providing a secure environment for the vast stores of data used to train AI models.
According to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the financial sector is the second most targeted industry in Australia for data breaches.
