Radware opens cloud security centres in ANZ
US-based application security and DDoS protection company Radware has opened new cloud security centres in Melbourne and Auckland.
Following the launch, Radware now operates more than 50 security centres worldwide, with the company having recently opened facilities in Chile, Italy, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates.
This global footprint allows Radware to offer more than 12 Tbps of mitigation capacity, according to Radware VP of Cloud Security Services Haim Zelikovsky.
“We continue to invest in cloud security, expanding our global mitigation capacity and regional growth opportunities,” he said. “The recent enhancements we’ve made add to our already strong cloud presence and frictionless, state-of-the-art security experience.”
The enhanced footprint is also expected to reduce latency and increase service redundancy for customers to help them defend against DDoS, web application attacks, malicious bot traffic and attacks on APIs, he added. Meanwhile customers willl be able to more easily comply with offshore data routing requirements.
Radware’s recent Q3 2022 DDoS and application threat analysis estimates that the number of malicious DDoS events climbed 279% year-on-year during the quarter, with web application attacks also growing by 84% over the same period.
