The A10 Networks Thunder Convergent Firewall (CFW) is a stand-alone security product that leverages the ACOS Harmony platform. Benefits include a high-performance secure web gateway with integrated explicit proxy, URL filtering and SSL Insight that enables security policy enforcement for client outbound HTTP/HTTPS traffic; and a high-performance data centre firewall (DCFW) with integrated network denial-of-service (DoS) protection and server load balancing (SLB), which provides Layer 4 stateful firewall and Layer 7 application-level gateway.

Other features include: a high-performance Gi/SGi firewall with integrated network DoS and carrier-grade NAT (CGN), which protects the mobility infrastructure with advanced policy enforcement; high-performance IPSec site-to-site VPN to help enterprises secure application traffic between sites and enable global enterprises to use public networks to transport application traffic securely; and aGalaxy Centralised Management System support, which provides device management, configuration, reporting and troubleshooting for the Thunder CFW.
