Check Point 1400, 3000 and 5000 Series threat prevention appliances
Check Point Software Technologies has released the Check Point 1400, 3000 and 5000 Series appliances, which offer security threat prevention capabilities such as full inspection of encrypted data.
The growing frequency and sophistication of cyber attacks, particularly those with unknown signatures, increases the risk of a successful attack. The products are therefore designed to enable complete and advanced threat prevention against known and unknown threats within a powerful platform. The appliances are suitable for organisations of any size and feature: fully integrated firewall, intrusion prevention system (IPS), anti-bot, antivirus, application controls, URL filtering and Check Point’s SandBlast Zero-Day Protection.
The appliances also meet increasing requirements to deliver full inspection of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypted traffic with a hardware design that ensures full SSL inspection, with good performance, even with all threat prevention features activated. The 1400 Series appliances are suitable for small businesses and branch offices, and include a simple web user interface for set-up as well as the ability to be controlled centrally in large-scale deployments. The 3000 and 5000 Series appliances are suitable for small to mid-size enterprise sites, providing the power to run comprehensive threat prevention capabilities, including full inspection of encrypted data, with a modular networking scheme.
