Check Point Software Technologies has launched Check Point SandBlast Agent, which defends endpoints with advanced endpoint protection technologies, both on premise and remotely. The forensic analysis features accelerate understanding of the full attack to maximise response capabilities.

In addition to the proactive protection provided by sandboxing and threat extraction, the product incorporates forensics capabilities to automate incident analysis to help respond to future threats. The product also enables the detection and blocking of advanced attacks from email, removable media and web-based threats such as spear phishing and watering holes. Based on a remote sandboxing model, the non-intrusive, low-overhead deployment has minimal impact on local performance, while maintaining full compatibility with installed applications.

The security solution also detects suspicious communication activity generated by infected devices, blocks attempts to infiltrate sensitive data from the organisation and quarantines infected endpoints to prevent the spread of the infection.
