Imperva SecureSphere data security for Microsoft SharePoint

SecureSphere for SharePoint is a data security solution to protect sensitive data stored in Microsoft SharePoint.

Part of Imperva’s data security suite, SecureSphere for SharePoint addresses the unique security requirements of SharePoint’s file, web and database infrastructure, giving businesses visibility and analysis of data access to ensure that only appropriate users have access to data.

User access rights to SharePoint data do not always align with business needs, leaving sensitive data vulnerable. SecureSphere for SharePoint offers access rights visibility, audit trail and policy control to aggregate and consolidate user rights across SharePoint sites, files and folders and continuously monitor file activity and respond when data access deviates from corporate policy. ‘Data owner’ and ‘stale data’ identification uses file and folder access patterns to identify data owners and provide better compliance with security standards and identify and archive or delete data stored in SharePoint that is not being used.

SharePoint extranets and public-facing websites face traditional web-based threats. SecureSphere provides web application and database security protection against online security threats such as SQL injection and monitors and/or blocks access to SharePoint’s Microsoft SQL database to limit access to users with a legitimate data use.
