The E-Class Network Security Appliance (NSA) E8500 delivers application intelligence and control for network administrators.

The reassembly-free deep packet inspection (RFDPI) engine allows the appliance to analyse and control over 1100 applications on the network, whether they are unencrypted or encrypted with SSL.

The appliance can be deployed as a security gateway or as an inline solution that preserves a company’s existing infrastructure, while adding application intelligence and control as an additional layer of network security and visibility.

It features: configurable set of granular application-specific policies; automates application bandwidth allocation based on application identification; uncovers application traffic concealed in common protocols; restricts transfer of specific files and documents; scans email attachments; enables administrators to create custom signatures.
