SNIA ANZ reveals 2011-12 board of directors

The Storage Networking Industry Association for Australia and New Zealand (SNIA ANZ) has revealed its board of directors for 2011-12.

Board members are elected each year by SNIA ANZ members and are responsible for pursuing the association’s strategic objectives in the following 12 months.

The board includes Symantec’s Craig Scroggie as Chairman, EMC’s Clive Gold as Vice Chair, and Dimension Data’s Peter Prowse and NetApp’s John Martin as Joint Treasurers.

The board also includes:

  • Alphawest’s Rodney Haywood
  • Cisco’s Dylan Morison
  • Clonnaugh’s Scott Campey
  • Dell’s David Holmes
  • HDS’s Adrian De Luca HP Mark Nielsen
  • IBM’s Joe Screnci
  • Ingram’s Micro David Lenz
  • Jargonmaster’s Simon Sharwood
  • NAB’s Mark Harrison
  • RIMPA’s Kate Walker

According to a statement released by SNIA ANZ, the appointments are an acknowledgement of the companies’ commitment to industry standards and vendor neutral education.

Craig Scroggie, SNIA ANZ Chairman, said: “It is extremely gratifying to have so many major companies reaffirm their commitment to SNIA ANZ at a time when we are seeing a resurgence of interest in our strategic program.

“Our plan contains some exciting new initiatives, including the launch of our IIIS event in partnership with IDG Computerworld on 2-3 August at the Hilton Sydney, that will strengthen our educational outreach and provide an increased value proposition for our members.”
