SNIA expands membership and appoints new board member
The Storage Networking Industry Association for Australia and New Zealand (SNIA ANZ) has announced that Ingram Micro Australia and New Zealand has joined as a corporate member. Terry Dunn, from Ingram Micro New Zealand, will sit on the Board of Directors.
Craig Scroggie, Chairman of SNIA ANZ, says: “The addition of Ingram Micro to our membership and board demonstrates our intent to expand our value into the channel community, and has the added benefit of bringing a focus on New Zealand to our strategic programs. We look forward to providing a wide range of vendor-neutral content to Ingram Micro, its channel partners and their customers.
"With Ingram Micro's broad reach into the channel, its assistance in helping to drive SNIA ANZ's strategic education programs into the channel will be invaluable," he says.
“Our programs are facilitated by volunteer subject matter experts in their respective fields acting as industry evangelists. We need to harness the right expertise to continue providing impartial technology education and to expand the storage community knowledge base in this region. Having Terry Dunn on our board, together with the industry expertise that Ingram Micro offers, will enable us to achieve that objective," says Scroggie.
In his board member role, Dunn will also focus on increasing SNIA ANZ’s presence and a range of activities in New Zealand.
Dunn is looking forward to working with SNIA ANZ. "This is an important organisation, with a clear vision for growing the storage industry. I'm thrilled to have been invited to sit on the Board, and to be working closely with my peers to achieve the organisation's goals," he says.
