Seagate Pulsar XT.2 and Pulsar.2 solid state drives
The Pulsar XT.2 solid state drive (SSD) and Pulsar.2 SSD are now available.
The Pulsar XT.2 combines Single-Level Cell (SLC) flash with a native 6 Gbps Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface. The 2.5″ SSD with up to 400 GB of capacity is optimised for mixed workloads typical of enterprise environments such as online transaction processing (OLTP), database or web indexing, and email.
The Pulsar.2 Multi-Level Cell (MLC) SSD has been designed for data centres. The drive, featuring up to 800 GB of capacity, can automatically detect and correct data errors. It supports both native 6 Gbps SAS and Serial ATA (SATA) 6 Gbps interfaces for primary and secondary server storage.
