BAI wins project management deal with NSW SES

Telecom infrastructure operator BAI has won a deal to support a project by the NSW State Emergency Services (NSW SES) to replace its radio operational communications equipment.

Under the deal, BAI will provide dedicated project management services for the upgrade to assist with planning and procurement.

BAI will share its experience in spectrum management, logistics, network design and installation.

The company currently provides transmission services for both the ABS and SBS, and subsidiary Airwave Solutions constructs and manages communications networks for the private and public sectors.

The upgraded radio communications system will be used across 229 NSW SES operational field units across the state and will be used by the organisation’s 300 staff members and 10,000 volunteers.

The project has funding approval and is expected to take place over five years.
