The REM is a compact yet comprehensive out-of-band (OOB) management solution for WAN edge and branch offices. Delivering all the benefits of a next-gen terminal server and intelligent PDU, the REM also adds dual gigabit Ethernet LAN redundancy and 4G failover for internet backup connection on dual WAN routers, in a small form factor suitable for cabinets, kiosks and enclosures.

When IT infrastructure and services become unresponsive, the REM allows users to quickly access, troubleshoot and restore connections without a truck roll. Better yet, with WTI OOB automation features, users can proactively monitor and remediate issues for always-available resilient networks.

The REM monitors network equipment, watching for significant changes. Network managers can be notified via SNMP trap, email or text message if invalid access attempts occur, port buffers are full, ping-no-answer and other events are detected.

Security options include SSHv2 encryption, address-specific IP security masks and multi-level passwords. Remote authentication is also supported.

The REM includes one IEC-60320-C14 Inlet, four RJ45 RS232 Serial Ports (Cisco straight), ranging from 300 to 230,400 bps. The REM also features 4G LTE, four IEC 60320 C13 power outlets and single or dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports.
