The D-Link ANZ DIR-879 AC1900 EXO Wi-Fi gigabit router provides good wireless AC home networking and a built-in range extender switch.

It garners speed from wireless AC technology and has high-power amplifiers that optimise wireless range. Gigabit ports offer the option of wired connectivity and the product also includes SmartConnect technology to automatically assign devices to the wireless band providing the best bandwidth.

The product’s wireless AC dual-band connectivity is up to 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.

Other features include high-power amplifiers for greater Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home; an extender switch that can turn the router into range extender mode at AC1900 speeds; intelligent QoS to define which devices have greater access to available internet connection bandwidth; Wi-Fi protected set-up to easily connect devices to a wireless network; backward compatibility to work with existing Wi-Fi devices (802.11n/g); wireless encryption that uses WPA or WPA2 security; and easy set-up with a mobile app.
