Fitbit has added the Fitbit Alta to its range of smart fitness trackers. Offering a slim design that can be personalised to suit a user’s style, the device features advanced health and fitness functions that help to simplify tracking workouts and delivering positive motivation.
It is designed with a satin finish and stainless steel body with interchangeable bands in multiple colours also available. In addition to automatically tracking a user’s all-day activity, exercise and sleep, it is equipped with Reminders to Move to reduce stationary time, while providing visual feedback on progress. It offers prompts on an OLED tap display that also shows activity stats and the time, while the SmartTrack automatic exercise recognition feature records continuous movement activities including walking, running, outdoor biking, as well as general categories of aerobic workouts.
The product also enables Bluetooth connectivity, which will alert the wearer on-screen and with a gentle vibration of a call, text or calendar notification if their phone is nearby. The wristband has a long battery life of up to five days and is compatible with more than 200 Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices and computers.
