Getac has released the S410, its lightest and slimmest semirugged laptop to date, suitable for defence, public security, field service and automotive maintenance industries.

Featuring a 6th generation Intel Core processor, it offers low power consumption and fast boot speeds. Through Intel Turbo Boost Technology, the processor works smarter by offering an automatic burst of speed when needed to boost work efficiency. Users can choose between different processors, depending on their information security requirements, or add a second built-in hard drive (128 GB/256 GB SSD) for smoother multitasking.

The product offers a 14″ HD or 14″ FHD display. Professionals who work long hours outdoors under bright light can choose the optional 1000 nits HD screen or 800 nits high-brightness FHD multitouch screen. Users can also switch between rain touch, glove touch and pen modes. A single battery in the laptop can last up to 11 h, while a second battery extends life to 22 h. The device’s WLAN supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards and Bluetooth v4.2 technology, also providing users with fast network speeds.

Other features: four USB ports, RJ45, HDMI and VGA (optional) ports for connecting projection equipment; a 500 GB hard drive, which can be upgraded to 1 TB; Touch Fingerprint, smart card reader and contactless smart card (optional); Vehicle and Office Dock; RF Tri-Passthrough; a backlit keyboard; and an FHD webcam.

It also comes with a MIL-STD 810G rating and offers 91 cm drop prevention and IP51 dust and water protection.
