Honeywell Dolphin CT50 mobile computer

Honeywell has announced the Dolphin CT50 mobile computer is available in Australia and New Zealand for enterprises that require real-time connectivity to business-critical applications and data capture capabilities such as transport and logistics, field service, direct store delivery and warehouse environments.

The mobile solution is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series processor and features a 2.26 GHz quad-core CPU offering competitive speeds to enhance worker productivity. With a modern all-touch interface, the device enables mobile workers to achieve efficiency for scan-intensive applications, while a next-generation 2D imager allows for good data capture performance on linear and 2D barcodes. An optional scan handle gives flexibility to switch between handheld and pistol grip operations to reduce user fatigue.

Windows Embedded 8.1 Handheld or Android 4.4 KitKat operating systems are also available with the ability to upgrade to Windows 10 and Android 6.0 Marshmallow platforms, which are also compatible with other digital devices.

The product includes Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE connectivity for access to business-critical applications and rich multimedia such as streaming video and videoconferences for use whether in the office or connecting remotely from the road. It is also IP67 rated for protection from dust and water, and can withstand multiple 1.5 m drops to concrete.
