Huawei Matebook 2-in-1 convertible device
Huawei has released the Matebook, a 2-in-1 convertible device for its mobile consumer line-up that combines the mobility of a smartphone with the power of a laptop. It is designed to act as a mobile productivity tool that seamlessly integrates mobility, high efficiency, work and entertainment.
Slim and lightweight (640 g), the device features a 6th Generation Intel Core m-series processor to handle rigorous business demands in a stylish fanless design. Built to operate on Windows 10, the product also uses the Microsoft Edge browser and offers up to 8 GB of LPDDR3 memory and a solid-state hard drive with capacity up to 512 GB. It is made of a high-quality aluminium unibody, while the keyboard case, featuring a 1.5 mm keystroke and a chiclet keycap design, is made of environmentally friendly, soft PU leather. A built-in touchpad uses multitouch technology that supports precise finger movements.
The 12″ IPS multitouch screen is further enhanced by a narrow frame and a screen-to-body ratio of 84%. The screen has a resolution of 2160 x 1440 and a 160° wide angle while it is capable of displaying true-to-life colours. It comes with a 33.7 Wh high-density lithium battery that provides enough power for 9 h of work, 9 h of internet use and 29 h of music playback. The device also features Huawei’s power-saving technology that allows users to attain a full charge in 2.5 h with up to 60% battery strength in just 1 h.
