Lenovo ThinkPad P Series ThinkPad P50 and P70 Mobile Workstations

Lenovo has launched the ThinkPad P Series, a family of mobile workstations, designed to run the demanding independent software vendor (ISV) applications.

The series includes the ThinkPad P50 and P70, which are Mil-Spec tested for maximum durability and equipped with the Intel Xeon Processor E3-1500M v5 product family for quick performance and enhanced reliability. Both systems feature NVIDIA Quadro GPUs and X-Rite Pantone colour calibration, keeping colours accurate throughout the life of the product.

The ThinkPad P50 is a thin and light full-function mobile workstation with a 15.6″ UHD 4K display, a follow-up to the previous ThinkPad W541 model. Other features include an option for up to 64 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage, an Intel Thunderbolt 3 port as well as a Mini DisplayPort. The 17″ ThinkPad P70 is designed for high-end professionals and comes with up to 64 GB of DDR4 ECC memory, the ability to handle up to four storage devices and up to 1 TB of SSD storage. It also comes with two Intel Thunderbolt 3 ports for fast connectivity and a 4K UHD display or optional FHD touch.

Both workstations contain a FLEX Performance Cooling system, a dual-fan design offering cool, quiet and fast performance, which gives the user the ability to push the system harder and for longer periods of time.
