Microsoft has added the Surface Pro 4 to its Surface Pro line-up, claimed by Microsoft to be 30% more powerful than the Surface Pro 3 and the thinnest and lightest Surface tablet produced yet. At 8.4 mm wide and 726 g, the portable tablet is suitable for mobile professionals or people in business environments who need high levels of corporate access, data security and central manageability.
Designed to run the full Microsoft Office suite on Windows 10 Pro, the device includes Windows Hello, Surface Pen, Microsoft Edge and Cortana. Its 12.3″ PixelSense Display has a 3:2 aspect ratio for comfortable viewing and features 267 ppi, a 1300:1 contrast ratio, 5 million pixels and support for 100% sRGB colour. It also comes with an 8 MP rear-facing auto-focus camera, 5 MP front-facing 1080p HD camera and 6th Generation Intel Core m, Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
The device is quieter than previous models, runs cooler and is more efficient, with up to 9 h of battery life. Surface accessories are also available, such as the Surface Pro 4 Type Cover, which turns the tablet into a laptop with its redesigned mechanical keyboard.
