Optoma has released the HDCast Pro multimedia streaming device, suitable for use in a variety of visual presentations in the home or office. The device offers Full HD image quality and features a four-in-one split screen which can be projected to wirelessly stream 1080p video formats up to a distance of 10 m.

With a built-in antenna, the product can be plugged into the HDMI port on any projector or television, enabling users to wirelessly stream audio visual content, documents or websites directly from a smart device or laptop. It also has web-browsing features and is compatible with Apple’s AirPlay wireless technology or Miracast wireless streaming technology for Android devices. Support for cloud video ensures users can access content from online video streaming services, while files can be accessed from cloud storage services such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

The Optoma HDCast Pro app, also available to download from the Apple App and Google Play stores, transforms smart devices into remote controls, allowing users to adjust zoom and volume; hit play, pause and rewind; or draw and annotate on the projector or television image from a mobile device.
