Panasonic FZ-B2 Android Toughpad tablet

Panasonic Australia has launched the FZ-B2 Android Toughpad tablet, made with an IP65 dust and water-resistant design to help users drive workforce automation in tough environments such as logistics and warehousing. 

The 7″ tablet runs on the Android 4.4 operating system using Intel Celeron Processor N2930 (Quad Core 1.83 up to 2.16 GHz), with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage capacity. With built-in battery-saving technology, such as its ambient light sensor, the tablet can operate up to 7 h on its replaceable battery on a 2.5 h charge time. A hot-swappable battery set-up can also be established using the configurable port options.

The device features extra-wide viewing angles, strengthened glass, a high contrast ratio and 500 cd/m2 high brightness paired with a Panasonic antireflection layer. The WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution screen is built to perform in all light conditions with five finger-capacitive touch-screen capabilities. It is also equipped with a 2 MP front web camera with mic and 5 MP rear camera.

The device is optimised for connectivity and includes WLAN 802.11ac technology for fast data transfer and Bluetooth v4.0. Configurable integrated options include a 2D barcode reader, smartcard reader and 4G using Gobi 5000 technology. The tablet includes a USB 3.0, microSD and headset input.

Accessories such as a desktop cradle, vehicle dock, multibattery charger, rotating hand straps, carry cases and capacitive touch-screen pens are also available.
